Our producer will help to make sure your voice or instrument is captured, performed and stands out naturally and authentically.
ARTIST DEVELOPMENT
MIXING & MASTERING
We do most of our mixing, editing and tuning after each recording session at this studio using Pro Tools or Logic. Our control room is well-treated and balanced for this purpose so we can efficiently get a solid mixdown or bounce going for clients after each session. For mastering related tasks, Studio MMS is especially well-qualified and most of the artists we work with get their music mastered here.
Our Studio MMS is specifically built towards more precise mixing and mastering audio work. Lately, Digital Mastering is one of our most popular services and we get great feedback from our clients. We currently charge around an hour of labour per track to digitally master your song. You are welcome to join the session as well if you have any specific requests.
ARTISTIC EXPERIENCE
MUSIC VIDEO & PHOTOS
We strive to develop a strong, supportive and inspiring professional relationship with all our clients. If you have any specific concerns or technical questions, we will do our best to address this prior and/or after your session.
The studio is equipped with class-A gear, and we can track up to 16 channels simultaneously. Studio M offers an environment similar to that of other medium-sized professional studios, but we offer high value, efficiency and flexibility in terms of customizing our sessions tailored specifically to your project, and we can charge a musician-friendly hourly rate as well as promotional project rates. Our strength is our musical expertise, intuitive and technical insights and relationship skills.
Our studio engineering rates vary based on tasks. Generally speaking, studio PTL ranges from $38-44 per hour, and studio MMS from $55 per hour.
VALUE & CLIENT CARE
Our studios are great, spacious and comfortable places to write, record, produce and arrange a song. We've got a wide selection of instruments and audio gear available and the wide-ranging configuration of the studio helps speed up the process of finishing your song with a great outcome. Many upcoming singer-songwriters book sessions here to gain a second pair of ears to help upgrade their music, do vocal or backing vocal recordings, get advice or create backing arrangements for their vocals or band.
We work with several photographers and videographers who can join your session if you'd like a music video or professional photos taken. They are as excited as us to work with you, and the content that is captured in each session will enable you to post social media and website posts, or get the perfect photo for your album or single artwork.
Often, becoming an established artist or musician requires to set up a business in the shape of a partnership, incorporating or as self-employed individual. Doing accounting is an essential part of being a professional artist or musician and you want to make sure your songwriting agreements and legal circumstances are taken care of as well. We have much experience in running our own businesses, and can help you gain knowledge and experience with copyrighting and registering your music, doing up agreements, hiring people, creating social media attraction and online presence etc.
